Everybody’s Changing And I Don’t Feel The Same

Posted in Personal by jollyhunt on January 3, 2010

Happy New Year! Whew. I’m glad to have my first blog for the year 2010. :) Last year’s been very amazing, fun and weird. Well, every year does.

Last night I kept on thinking what will happen to me in the near future, am I going to be luckier this year than the last one, stuffs that a lot of people may as well think too. I remember my teacher in Social Studies when we’re high school sophomores told us, “Nothing is permanent in this world except change”. He’s totally right. Now, everybody’s changing and I don’t feel the same. Dwelling in the past somehow brings bad vibes or aura so I’m going to cut off the drama and hmm try to enumerate the most noticeable changes I’ve witnessed with the people around me.

* Sipping massive alcoholic drinks spells “gimmick” to numerous people. It doesn’t matter if you’re a minor or not, as long as you are able to post something on your Facebook wall or brag about the shots you had with your friends.

* SOME people tend to forget the essence of selflessness. If you ride on jeepneys, I’m quite sure you experience sitting in squashed manner while the others are comfy doing sight seeing during the ride.

* The discrimination of Filipinos to fellow Filipinos gets worse. Instead of helping correcting others’ errors, SOME laugh and make fun of it.

* Filipinos are more fashionable. Everyone look as if they developed his/her sense in style. It’s actually good. Many are able to express themselves through clothes and accessories. The masses are now conscious on how they appear in the eyes of the public. Perseverance is the key to cosmetic surgery. I believe not only the wealthy personalities tried breast augmentation and rhinoplasty. Persistent people love to have Angelina Jolie’s lips and Brad Pitt’s nose without thinking the result will look like Allan K.’s and Diego’s due to malpractice.

* The religion views of several beings are still mix and match.

“We’re ready 2010!” shouted out by a friend. “No you’re not”, I murmured to myself. We are never prepared for what we expect. We just have to be more faithful and devoted to our Almighty Father for with Him in our lives, everything’s going to be fine.
